When I was 15 years old, I decided to give my life to Christ, not because I had problems but because I was impressed by the Gospel that Pr. Peterson Ssozi of Back to God Ministries preached. This was during a crusade at Nateete, one of the suburbs of Kampala where I got to know the benefits of Salvation. As a teenager with my friends, I was the only one who accepted Jesus as My personal Lord and Savior during the whole crusade that day. All my friends told me that I was doing a foolish thing by getting “Saved”.
After discovering my newly found passion, I did not look back. I informed my family, who were not impressed being Roman Catholics and when school started, I began witnessing my new found joy to my friends at high school. Some of these also accepted Jesus Christ as their Lord and Savior. This humble preaching which I started as a young boy has nurtured me into an International Evangelist.
I graduated as a surveyor but my love for God pushed me to concentrate on preaching the gospel in schools, crusades where I witnessed amazing and life changing miracles.
In 1997, I received a vision to start a church which I obeyed and begun the Anointed Upper Room Church with a congregation of 37 members. Through the years we have seen the hand and favor of God as we saw the church grow to over 1,200 members to date. We are now preparing to start construction of a 20,000 capacity Anointed Upper Room Cathedral in Kamwokya.
Pastor Steven Mutesasira is the founder and visionary of the International Anointed Ministries
and senior pastor of Anointed Upper Room Church which is the headquarters for the overall Ministry. He is also the overseer of over 5 member
churches under the International Anointed Ministries.
Pastor Steven is happily married to Julie Mutesasira and has a good and happy family.
The goal and mission of his life is to bring the good news and love of Jesus Christ to people of every nature or color and to see the restoration
of human kind back to the higher position of their calling.
The major goal of the International Anointed Ministries is to impact the lives of people, showing then the love of Jesus Christ. Through preaching the gospel extending a helping hand to those in need, the International Anointed Ministries believe that together we can, Change the World and Win it for Christ Jesus.
In his ministry, Pastor Steven has seen several people healed including the lame, blind, broken hearted, people with various complications even those infected with the AIDS pandemic have been healed in many of his meetings.
